He's responsible for ensuring that size utilization on certain systems are not over 99% utilization. Last year, during the Splunk upgrade, he coordinated and practically led most of the engagement while there were issues attempting to role back the upgrade. Usually when there's a Splunk outage or issue, he's typically on point.

Jacob always showed a willingness to be a team player and helped out and volunteered for additional responsibilities. He was vocal about new ideas, and changing existing processes to improve them.

Jacob has a natural ability to take on tasks and get them finished with little additional guidance, even in cases where the ask was not something he had worked with previously. I always knew the job would get done and with attention to detail when Jacob was assigned to it.

Jacob is trustworthy, reliable, full of integrity, and passionate about learning. When Jacob joined my team he quickly filled a vital role in fixing our ailing SharePoint environment. This was an all-consuming task since our Supply Chain used it extensively. He not only rebuilt the environment, but worked with the dept that heavily utilized it to understand their requirements and communicated best practices. I could also count on Jacob to utilize every bit of training I could allocate for him. Whether it was a VMUG Advantage subscription or a full class, he utilized every bit to his advantage to add value to my team and the business.

It is my privildege to write this letter for Jacob Jewett.  I have had the honor as his co-worker here at Bolthouse Farms, but also ehwn we were IT Instructors at Kaplan Colege.  His leadership and communication skills when working with the SysAdmin team are near flawless, and his knowledge and expertise in the IT arena, plus the fact that he likes to learn new sections in the IT industry are second to none.  I am excited for him looking at growing and advancing in his career.  He is highly qualified to handle more than is currently required of him.

When there are incidents, projects, and tasks to complete, Jacob is not shy to take them on and has proven to be dependable.  When Jacob takes on a project, we know that he will follow through and personally ensure that the small details are documented and properly handled.  When Jacob assembles different Admins to take on projects, he understands the direction and course of action that needs to take place to successfully complete the project with contingency plans in the event of an unforeseen circumstance.

Jacob has always been pleasant to work with as well as be around outside of work.  When Jacob first started we assigned him to head the SharePoint restructuring as well as catalog all systems of the datacenter.  He has not only improved our SharePoint system but restructured them exceptionally.  He stops to take time to learn systems.  I have never expirenced an issue with him being unwilling to take the time to perform the most mundane tasks as well as the abnormal requests that happen in a fast paced environment.

It is my pleasure to recommend Jacob Jewett as a fine employee.  I have known Jacob for the past four years. At that time, I hired Mr. Jewett to run the computer lab at South High School.  His job assignment includes scheduling teachers for the lab, giving technical assistance to the teachers and students in the lab, making sure the computers are in working order, and inputting the bells for South High School.

In addition, Jacob recently completed the Information Systems Engineer Course at San Joaquin College receiving his Associate of Science Degree in April, 2003.  He is now a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), A+ Certified and a Microsoft Office User Specialist.

Jacob has been an invaluable asset to South High School.  He is easy to work with and is eager to improve his job proformance.  He is a quick study and is always seeking ways to improve the communication systems at South High School.  Mr. Jewett was instrumental in redesigning the South High School web page and a bell program in Excel to implement new bell schedules.  The bell schedule is easy to use and very benefical for the Assistant Principal of Administration and the Office Supervisor.  In addition, Jacob has developed a user friendly manual for South's dated bell system.  He is a faithful rebel fan which is evidenced by the many hours he dedicates to the school.  Jacob has been instrumental in a number of key school investigations concerning student computer violations.  Furthermore, he has been called upon to work overtime on numerous occasions to assist whenever needed.

Jacob is a reliable and dependable employee.  Unfortunately he is over qualified in his current position and is seeking a position with computer tech skills.  He has been a valuable asset to South High School and I am certain he would be of great value in your organization as well.
